Muni: Dap Naudé pipeline resored

The Dap Naudé plant has started pumping water again after being shut down earlier today to allow for emergency repairs.

POLOKANE – “The water will reach the reservoirs once the pipes in  lower lying areas have filled. Portable water to Krugersburg reservoirs will be pumped once the water reaches the Dalmada plant,” the Polokwane Municipality said in a statement.

The Municipality apologies for the frustrations caused by shortage of water.

POLOKWANE – “The reported leakage present at Mama Huge resulted from technicians draining the pipe for the emergency repairs and restoration. As a result, the inflow into the Dalmada plant has dropped drastically which has made it impossible to treat raw water,” the Polokwane Municipality said in a statement.

The blockage has since been located between the manhole at the robots near the filling station at Dalmada plant and the water flow to the treatment plant is expected to be returned by 15:00 today.
