The municipality will continue to deploy water tankers to affected areas until the situation improves

POLOKWANE – Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) have informed the municipality that the Olifantspoort plant is back in operation since last night, says the Polokwane Municipality.

According to LNW the command reservoirs started filling overnight but they have advised the municipality that it will take a while before the water reaches the taps in all the affected areas due to the reservoirs being empty.

The municipality continues to advise and encourage areas that receive water supply to use water for domestic purposes only. Watering of lawns and gardens is strongly discouraged, they add.

“The municipality will continue to deploy water tankers to affected areas until the situation improves. We appreciate your patience as the matter is receiving high level attention.”
