Muni: Reservoirs levels picking up slowly

The municipality will continue to deploy water tankers to areas affected by shortages.

POLOKWANE – “We received  notification from Lepelle Northern Water this morning that the installation of pumps at Olifantspoort plant was completed overnight and line filling resumed,” said the Polokwane Municpality on Saturday morning.

“However, it will take some time before water reaches the taps as most of the reservoirs were empty. In the meantime residents in low catchment areas are advised to strictly limit usage of water to domestic consumption only. No watering of lawns.”

The municipality further added that the Dalmada and Seshego zone 4 purification plants (behind BM Corner) are open for the public to fetch water from as the situation improves.

“We Th apologise for the inconvenience caused and appreciates your patience during this difficult period. Water reporting line: 015 290 2376/2629,” they concluded.
