Help these sisters get to Nigeria

Two sisters from Moletjie, Lerato, a model, and Mahlatse Poopedi, a fashion designer and dressmaker, are set to represent Limpopo and the country in Nigeria on 6 July at the Face of Fashion Africa 2018.

POLOKWANE – Chosen as Face of Fashion South Africa, Lerato will represent the country and says she looks forward to travelling abroad as it will be her first time.

“My mother travels often as she is also in the fashion and beauty industry. She often regales us with tales of her travels and says it is well worth the flights. I am excited to travel to Nigeria and I am eager to get first hand experience of the country as well as share some of our cultures from South Africa.” Her sister will go with her and be responsible her wardrobe as well as her makeup during the competition and says she also looks forward to showcasing her designs and makeup artistry internationally. “I look forward to learn from other designers and makeup artists from abroad as well as sharing what I have learned myself thus far,” she adds.

The purpose of the Face of Fashion Africa competition is to teach young women from across the globe to be proud of who they are, their culture and backgrounds. The boot camp is set to take place from 1 to 8 July.

The sisters are asking for anyone to assist them in making their dream of travelling to Nigeria a reality by donating towards their travelling costs. For more information or to donate, contact them at 082 927 9702.
