Hard times encourage author to fight back

When author of Fight Back, Jennifer Jenny O Hogins first saw the title of the book in a vision, she wondered what it would entail.

POLOKWANE – Fight Back was written in 2013 and she decided to only launch it this year on 16 June, when she finally decided it was ready, at the Westenburg Hall.

Family and friends supported Jenny in every way possible by attending the event and buying her book in hope to get motivation and inspiration. Jenny added this is the first of four books she has written over a period of five years and wants to publish.

“Fight Back is the inspirational biography in which a story of hope began. The evidence that God is of endless and impossible opportunities,” Jenny said.

Before writing the book, Jenny told BONUS she experienced hard times with her children which is when she took a pen and paper after asking God to help her pen everything down she was feeling and experiencing in life.

“An ex-colleague at the call center I used to work at in 2013, gave me a pen and a diary as a gift, and that’s when the journey of a million miles began. I would jot down all my thoughts, not realising I was busy writing my manuscript at that point,” she said.

Joosuf Pemma from the Westenburg Ward Committee, attended the launch as a special guest. “After your hard work, you have finally launched your book and it is indeed the first book launch that ever took place here in Westenburg. I must say on behalf of the Westenburg community, we are proud of you,” Joosuf said. He added the event was impressive and very memorable for him.

Fiends that came to support, Moeshell Magobotla, Bridget Hawkins (Pastor) and Aubretia Solomon.

Fight Back is about true stories of Jenny’s life in which she teaches readers how God is able to assist us. “The story is inspirational and the intention is to help others realise their ability to fight, survive and live through hard times in their lives.

I focused on God’s unconditional love and His presence in our lives that made me fight for my salvation gift. We all need a saviour and God was mine,” Jenny explained.

Jenny said her journey was a lengthy one, especially because she didn’t have the money to publish her book which is why she decided to self-publish her book without an editing service.

“A few ‘earth angels’ also helped me by supporting me emotionally, prayer partners during this time also arose and some financial contributions and resources were received to assist me in completing and birthing my first book,” Jenny said.

In 2013 the process of writing began, and it was the most blessed experience Jenny has ever had.

“I never thought it would be possible to produce a 209-page book.

This is only God who says if you humble yourself by His side, He will lift you up and announce your name,” she added.

Jenny’s book is available at PNA in Savannah Mall. Follow her on Facebook: Fight Back or visit her website: Amazon online library – https:www.amazon/Fight-Back-Jenny/dp.

“I feel so humble about the event as a whole because of the warm response I received from family and friends.

The launch was a huge success and I thank God for his work,” Jenny concluded.
