Polokwane Municipality’s offices in Seshego’s Zone 8 were allegedly vandalised this morning (Friday) following reported public unrest.
Disree Manyane, Stakeholder Relations Officer of the municipality says that law enforcement agencies managed to arrest 17 people and cases of public violence, malicious damage to property and road blockage were opened at Seshego police station.
Our officials are currently clearing the affected areas. The situation is stable and being monitored. The municipality urge residents not to vandalise properties and are reminded that the municipality’s offices are always open for discussions and engagements regarding service delivery challenges,” Manyane said.
Half an hour ago Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe indicated that he was unable to provide comment at the time.
