Police have opened two inquest dockets are investigating a case of murder after an male educator, a woman and a 19-month-old baby were found dead inside a house Ga-Maphalle village outside Bolodebu yesterday (Thursday).
Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe said a passer-by had alerted them to the situation. Police then found Mapula Adelaide Lehlogonolo (38), who had multiple stab wounds to her body, lying on the floor. Moleke Livy Mohlaloganye (57), an educator at Maupa High School and Mosibudi Sebetha Maphalle (19 months) were also found in the house with an unknown substance coming from their mouths, according to Ngoepe.
He added that the motive behind the killing is still unknown but domestic violence cannot be ruled out.
Acting Provincial Police Commissioner Jan Scheepers regretted the incident and urged people to seek professional help in order to avoid similar situations.
