POLOKWANE – The three women were trained and equipped with skills and knowledge in the export industry by the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) earlier this year in preparation for the Torino Fashion Week set to take place in Turin, Italy.

Sadi Joyce is a fashion designer specialising in traditional attire. Makgetsi Mphahlele is the founder of Abri Boutique, a leather manufacturer and accessory designer specialising in unique leather made of Nguni and springbok hides. Boitumelo Boale is from Royal Wardrobe Designs, a local designer who featured on the reality TV show The Intern by David Tlale and all three are excited to be travelling to Italy.
“I am very humbled that my company was selected to form part of this journey to showcase our African heritage and products. I will bring a wealth of knowledge of international stature and when I come back I will encourage other Limpopo designers to start producing Proudly South African and Proudly Limpopo Products that can be exported to other countries. We thank God for what He has started in our life and we will make sure to come back with more knowledge which we will transfer and implement in our province,” said Makgetsi Mphahlele.
