Pick n Pay’s Stokvel Community Indaba comes to Polokwane

Stokvels are a way for people in lower-and middle-income groups to pool their savings, with 44% of people surveyed, using them for a ‘rainy day’.

POLOKWANE – Learn how to save up and budget through the Stokvel Community Indaba educational event that is coming to Polokwane.

Through the seminar, residents should expect advice on how to save for year-end bulk buying season, group insurances and travel savings from various partners from the grocery, financial advisory and travel and leisure sector.

Attendees will also be inspired with budget recipe ideas for creating meals for large groups and receive tips on how to get more value for money using specific grocery brands. There will also be a free tasting of recipes using local brands.

Stokvel groups can stand the chance to win their share of the prizes up for grabs on the day, valued at R1 million.

This includes a group trip to Mauritius and Hart Pots to the value of R20 000. There will also be lots of instant prizes throughout the day. Entrance is FREE and attendees are guaranteed a goodie bag and lunch.

The event will take place on Saturday, 30 June from 12:00pm – 16:00pm at Ngoako Sports Complex Hall in Seshego. Attendees are encouraged to dress up in a stokvel uniform.
