Help animals in Seshego by donating to the SPCA for Mandela Day

The SPCA are asking residents to donate R67 to their outreach program.

POLOKWANE – In three and a half weeks, South Africa will celebrate Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday by giving back to the community for 67 minutes. This initiative was inspired my Mandela on his 90th birthday and the United Nations officially declared 18 July as Nelson Mandela International Day in 2009.

Since Mandela’s life has been an inspiration to the world, people are encouraged to devote 67 minutes of their time, one minute for every year of Mandela’s public service, to make a difference in some one else’s life.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to animals (SPCA) Polokwane have decided to make a difference to the animals in Seshego.

Chantelle-Louise Watson, receptionist at the Mollie Hawken Animal Clinic at the Polokwane SPCA , explains that they will be having an outreach day on 18 July, in Seshego and adds that anybody can be part of the day.

“The SPCA are asking residents to donate R67 to their outreach program. On this day, personnel from the SPCA will go into Seshego and hand out food parcels for the animals.
