Bergies need financial boost to attend national competition

The cheerleading team of Waterberg High School participated in the provincial competition on 9 June in Polokwane and ended the day in first and second places.

MOKOPANE – The team won an overall first place as well as the throwing prop team, small drill team, the small drill leader (Puseletso Kojoana) and the sub leaders.

The flag group and non-prop group came second.

These teams will compete at the National competition in Oudtshoorn from 30 June to 7 July.

Coaches Fiona Ndhlovu and Mmapelo Mabatamela asks the community for financial help for the trip.

“Our school team, Bergies, is in need of drummies equipment, props and uniforms.

The prices of these are beyond most our squad members’ financial affordability. The expenses for the excursion, including food, transport and accommodation is R4 000 per athlete for 28 members.
