Planned power outage on Wednesday

A scheduled interruption of electricity to some parts of the city will, in addition to possible load-shedding, affect consumers from 00:00 until 16:00 on Wednesday.
Disree Manyane, Spokesperson for Polokwane Municipality, advised in a media release that supply will be interrupted to allow upgrades and maintenance to the Voortrekker substation and surrounding service network.
Consumers between Biccard and Webster streets from Suid to Rissik streets, Môregloed, Capricorn and surroundings, the municipal swimming pool in Burger Street and the area around Mediclinic Limpopo will be affected.
The municipality urged residents, businesses and stakeholders to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the planned outage.
“All electrical appliances including geysers should be switched off to avoid any damages before the planned power outage. All electrical wires should be considered live at all times,” the municipality advised.
