POLOKWANE – According to the Polokwane Municipality loadshedding stage 2 (all non-curtailment customers) will be implemented to stabilize the system.

The planned load shedding will take effect from 17:00 until 21:00. Block 12 to 14 will be affected.
17:00 – 18:00 Block 12: Flora and Fauna Park West of Mc DOnald Street, Golf Club, Edupark, All other sport club in the area of Cricket Club and both stadiums.
18:00 – 20:00 Block 13: Voortrekkerpark between Voortrekker and Webster streets, between Suid and Rissik streets, Ivypark Ext 34 and Meropa
20:00 – 22:00 Block 14: Seshego Zone 8, 5, 4 and 2, Madiba Park, Hospital View, Ext 73 and Zone 1 Ext
Power constraint could lead to load reduction this evening, warns muni
POLOKWANE – According to the Polokwane Municipality the power system is severely constrained and residents are notified that a load reduction could be required this evening from 17:00 to 22:00.

“Should we experience further technical problems and the loss of an additional 600 MW, a load reduction is likely to be required. We urge all customers to please use electricity sparingly and efficiently.”
