Several athletes of Stanford Lake College (SLC) have had the honour of being selected to provincial teams who will be representing Limpopo in a number of sporting codes during the winter holidays.
Amy Monareng is the only girl selected to the provincial u.18 netball team. Ten girl’s hockey players were selected to the u.14, 16 and 18 teams respectively. They are Winnie Maluleke, Zoë Burman and Tanatswa Murasiranwa, all u.14; Lia Revelas, Danica Altenroxel (both u.16A team) and Courtney Penrose as non-travelling reserve. Felicity Baloyi, Mokgadi Mangena and Jamela Maswanganyi were selected to the u.18A team and Emma Melville made the B team.
Among the boys 18 SLC players sufficiently impressed the selectors to be included in the u.14, 16 and 18 A and B teams. The selected u.14 players are Christian Krüger, Stephan Hacker, Lwazi Motumi, all A team, Marc Day, Angus Loughor-Clarke and Devon Coad for the B team.
Lance Trueman, Rofhiwa Nevhutalu, Thabe Tshesane, Frank Dyason, all made the u.16A team while Mitchell Lamb Team, Owen Venter, Ethan Chidavaenzi and Fulu Managa were all included in the B team.
The u.18 players selected for the A team are Nsuku Muyimane, Musondo Musonda, Junior Netshituni and Jackson Ndhlovu. Christian Schmidt, Casper Venter and Musa Mathebula were chosen for the B team.
