Advocate Mokwena to stand trial in 2019

Mokwena was arrested in June 2017 following a shooting incident at a citrus farm in Zebediela

POLOKWANE – Advocate Tumi Mokwena, who is facing four attempted murder charges, appeared in the Polokwane Magistrates Court on Monday, 11 June.

The trial for the case is set to begin on 8 February 2019 and this will also allow for further police investigations.

Mokwena allegedly shot four farm workers at the Zebediela Citrus Farm outside Lebowakgomo in June 2017 and was arrested at his office in Polokwane on 22 June 2017.

He also opened a case against the farm workers, but no steps have been taken against the perpetrators.

Mokwena is currently out on R1 200 bail.
