Woman among seven suspects arrested for Polokwane cash-in-transit heist

The suspects appeared before the Seshego Magistrate's Court today.

POLOKWANE – According to provincial Hawks spokesperson, Captain Matimba Maluleke, six of the seven suspects who were arrested for Monday’s cash-in-transit heist on the Matlala Road, appeared in the Seshego Magistrate’s Court.

An intensified operation between the Hawks’ serious organised crime investigation unit, a provincial task team, crime intelligence and a tactical response team, resulted in the arrest of seven suspects believed to be behind the cash-in-transit robbery that occurred on Momday, 28 May, along the Matlala road.

The suspects, aged between 26 and 49-years-old, of which one is a woman, were remanded in custody until 12 June for a formal bail application. The seventh suspect is still being investigated,” he concluded.
