MOKOPANE – The announcement was made through a media statement by the Municipality.
Andrina Matsemela, Mayor of Mogalakwena Municipality has urged residents to work together to change the way they use water.

“Water restrictions will allow the municipality to pump more water to the reservoirs and ensure that the dam levels pick up to the required level and ensure that greater community receives water at all times,” Matsemela said
He added that the municipality are engaging other stakeholders for more water supply and constantly in contact with Lepelle Northern Water, the Department of Water and Sanitation and Lonmin to address the issue.
Consumers are informed that water restrictions in Mokopane and Mahwelereng will be everyday from the following times:
04:00 -12:00 and 16:00 to 22:00
