According to a statement issued by the Polokwane Municipality, technicians are busy replacing a bridge piece on the high voltage system that receives electricity from the Eskom line.

“The component exploded and has left parts of the city area without electricity,” the muni explains.
Affected include areas from Annadale, Emdo, Lesedi Park, Eduan Park, Ster Park, Welgelegen, up to Mall of the North, Fauna Park and new Flora Park.

POLOKWANE – According to a statement issued by the Polokwane Municipality, technicians are currently locating a fault that has left parts of the city area without electricity.
“A fault is currently being experienced on the High Voltage System, affecting the areas from Annadale, Emdo, Lesedi Park, Eduan Park, Ster Park, Welgelegen, up to Mall of the North and Fauna Park. Feedback will be provided, as soon as the fault has been established,” says the municipality.
The call centre is flooded with calls and most of the calls will not go through at this point, adds the municipality.
