POLOKWANE – When they do see a vacancy they qualify for, experience is often required, something you don’t have as you haven’t managed to find employment since you finished your studies.
This is where Umsebenzi Lucreative Marketing Concept comes in, they offer youths the opportunity to gain experience, develop personally and work, all at the same time.
The four co-directors, Danny Maesela, Lucky Shabalala, Vincent Matlou and Goodman Masikane, decided to assist people between the ages of 18 to 35 to better themselves.
“Many young people sit at home, unable to find work as work opportunities are very few and far between. Through our company we offer them training in direct marketing, personal development and leadership development. The training is free and you can earn between R2 500 and R3 000 every fortnight,” Danny explained.
“The products that are sold include hot shaper belts, cleaning products, emergency lights and electrical water bottles.”
He added they also have another branch where they sell insurance and legal cover. They’ve been in the business for 10 years and recently decided to expand to Polokwane with their sights set on expanding to the rest of Limpopo.
