6 people killed in head on collision in Ga-Mamadila

The Department of Transport say the cause of the accident was reckless driving

LIMPOPO – According to the department of transport’s spokesperson, Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala, the accident occurred on the D19 road near Mamadila village in the Capricorn district on Friday evening.

“A VW Golf entered the road unsafely and lost control causing it to collide head on with a BMW,” he explained.

Six people were killed including the driver from the VW Golf and five passengers from the BMW and three other people sustained serious injuries.

The cause of the accident, he say, was reckless driving.
