According to police spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, Fidelity security officials were about to deliver cash at a local bank and upon approaching the bank, four armed suspects accosted them.

The suspects, armed with firearms, robbed the security officials of an undisclosed amount of cash that was carried in bags.

“Another guard, from a different security company, who was in the vicinity noticed what was unfolding and reacted swiftly by notifying the police. The suspects fled the scene, using a VW Amarok but the police gave chase and the vehicle crashed next to St Thomas College,” Mojapelo explained.

Some of the money bags that were taken by the suspects, fell as they were fleeing.
