Following a video of a woman driving with her child strapped to her back, Review wants to highlight the plight of children who are passengers and can’t speak for themselves.

POLOKWANE – The video, highlights one of many incidents in the city where drivers place children’s safety at risk, whether it be young children standing on the front or back seat or youngsters not being strapped in.

Child safety is of utmost importance when driving and according to law, “the driver of a motor vehicle operated on a public road shall ensure that an infant travelling in such a motor vehicle is seated on an appropriate child restraint: Provided that this provision shall not apply in a case of a minibus, minibus or bus operating for reward.”
