[TAKE NOTE] The N1 between Polokwane and Mokopane is open

POLOKWANE – Spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala says the N1 is now open and the scene has been cleared.

POLOKWANE – According to spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala, the fire department is still on the scene and no fatalities or injuries have been reported.

Motorists are advised to use the R101. 

“Our traffic officials are currently redirecting motorists from Meropa on to the R101 en route to Mokopane and Gauteng,” he said.

Moremi-Taueatsoala added that a truck lost its cargo (wooden poles) at the junction on R101 just outside Mokopane near the weighbridge.

“One line to the south has been closed and road users are advised to approach with caution.”
