[WATCH] Mapungubwe is much more than music and dancing, says MEC

Limpopo MEC for Sports, Arts and Culture, Onicca Moloi says the festival should be a way to attract and educate tourists about Limpopo's history.

POLOWKANE – Moloi hosted a meet and engagement session, in the week, with emerging artists in the province to offer them an opportunity to voice some of the challenges and issues that they face in the industry of arts and entertainment.

Moloi went on to explain how the Mapungubwe festival should be seen as a way to attract and educate tourists to come and visit the Limpopo province to learn and experience all about our province.

She also highlighted that the festival should be used as a platform to provide artists from Limpopo to engage with one another, sharing ideas and knowledge that will help to groom and nurture each one’s individual talent.

Moloi also highlighted projects that various artists have done thus far, to uplift the arts and entertainment industry as well as on some of the projects that they plan to do to ensure growth and prosperity within the sector.
