LIMPOPO – The sentence emanates from an incident which took place in 2016 where Didericks raped a minor in his home.
Didericks, who is not related to the victim, would visit the victims parents regularly and on 15 July 2016, took the victim to his place within the Lephalale area, where he raped her.
Police spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says the police in Limpopo welcome the sentence and hope that it will serve as a strong deterrent to all criminals out there who are still engaged in heinous acts of criminal perpetration.
Provincial Commissioner, Lt General Nneke Ledwab, welcomed the sentence and commended the Lephalale Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit on their sterling work done.
