Police have since launched a manhunt for the suspects

POLOKWANE – Police in Makhado have launched a manhunt for armed suspects involved in a house robbery at the Vygeboomsdrift Farm near Levubu on Tuesday afternoon, 3 April.

According to police spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, two unknown suspects held the domestic worker at gunpoint and ransacked the house.

The suspects then found the 77-year-old farm owner lying on his bed, demanded firearms and robbed a 222 rifle with three rounds of ammunition. They then fled the scene.

“No one was injured or killed during the incident and no arrests have been made as yet,” Ngoepe said.
