POLOKWANE – Polokwane is currently under a “severe thunderstorm watch” on the South African Weather Service’s website.
The weather service says thunderstorms are expected between 14:00 this afternoon and 22:00 tonight.
Other areas on ‘watch’ include Dendron, Makhado, Tzaneen, Phalaborwa, Lepelle-Nkumpi and Jane Furse.

The last time the city was on a thunderstorm watch, it wrecked havoc throughout the city, leaving trees and branches strewn across Polokwane’s roads.
