LIMPOPO – Three suspects believed to be en route to commit a spate of business robberies in and around the Louis Trichardt area, were arrested during an intelligence led joint operation “Cease Fire”, confirmed the police on Sunday.
During this operation one firearm with a magazine and 13 rounds of ammunition, one gas firearm pistol with a magazine and gas cylinder, airtime of different values, ten 25 grams of tobacco BB and a balaclava were confiscated.
The suspects (aged 28 ,33 and 43) will appear before the Louis Trichardt Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of conspiracy to commit business robbery ,possession of unlicensed firearms, possession of ammunition and possession of suspected stolen properties.
The Police investigations are still continuing.
The Saps Provincial Commissioner LT. General Nneke Ledwaba has welcomed this great achievement by the officers and further he encouraged all members of the Police, especially the Operationals, to double their efforts in dealing with this crime category head-on.
