Stanford Lake College (SLC) will be holding thumbs for three of its female athletes in the upcoming South African Athletics Championship to take place in Potchefstroom from tomorrow (Friday) till Sunday.
The three, hurdler Lia Revelas, long jumper Mokgadi Mangena and javelin thrower Felicia Pilusa, through their consistently first-rate performances since the beginning of the season, have qualified for participation in the championship.
Lia who is still u.16, has attracted attention with her winning performances in the u.17 100 and 400 m hurdles. Mokgadi u.17, consistently attained podium positions in the long jump as did Felicia, u.15, in the javelin.
