Here are your finalists for Mrs Polokwane 2019

Nine hard working women have been chosen to take the exciting journey towards becoming the next reigning Mrs Polokwane.

POLOKWANE – Still fresh in her position as reigning Mrs Polokwane 2018, Janine Kruger recently announced the top 10 finalists for 2019 and the hard work starts now.

Keeping the tradition, started by Mrs Polokwane 2016, Jacqueline Shrives, each finalist was given a date to organise their own events to raise money.

“This is the third year that the organisation does this. In 2016, Jacqueline Shrives took the initiative to change and make the organisation better and we’re sticking to it,” said Kruger.

She went on to explain that the finalists have until October to raise R8 000. Anything more than that amount will then be given to the finalist’s charity of choice.

Mrs Polokwane is a non-profit organisation with running cost to cover. Each year the committee strives to make the organisation better than the previous year.

Money raised by the finalists is used for the upkeep of the organisation which includes:

“Each finalist will be scored on a sliding scale regarding the money they raised, R8 000 equals 10 points and less equals less points. Finalists will not receive more points if they raise more money and finalists are not allowed to pay this money out of their own pocket,” Kruger explained.

Each finalist will also be scored on their portfolio, interviews, bootcamp  involvement, their event and the ACE Models Limpopo and Mrs Polokwane Top10 Finalist Workshop.

“We are super excited and extremely proud of these women and we wish them all the luck.”
