Victims of alleged kidnapping found burnt inside their vehicle outside Malamuele

The body of an unknown man was also discovered some meters away from the scene

LIMPOPO – Saselamani Police has launched a massive manhunt following the brutal murder of three people outside Malamulele on Monday.

According to a statement issued by Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe,  it is alleged that a man and a woman in their thirties were shot and set alight after being kidnapped.

Ngoepe explained: “The victims were kidnapped by the unknown suspects while travelling in a  Toyota Tazz near Makonde village outside Thohoyandou. They were loaded into the boot of their vehicle and taken away to a secluded area near Matiyani village along the Punda Malia road, were they were shot and their bodies burnt beyond recognition.

The body of an unknown man was also discovered some meters away from this scene. His body had sustained multiple gun shot wounds, Ngoepe added.

“The motive behind this incident is still unknown but Police investigations will reveal and consequently result to the apprehension of these murderers as they are still unfolding.”

The Saps Provincial Commissioner LT. General Nneke Ledwaba has condemned this killing saying that there is no justifiable reason for anyone to take an innocent life in this horrific manner.

“Perpetrators who still engaged on committing these barbaric acts are cautioned to stop this senseless killings of our people. We are going to hunt these suspects around the clock until they are brought to justice”, concluded General Ledwaba.
