LIMPOPO – The suspect is also a pupil at the same school and is the one who actually brought his farther’s unlicensed firearm to school and not the 16-year-old who pulled the trigger as earlier reported.

According to police spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, the incident, which took place on Friday, 23 February saw the 15-year-old bring the firearm to school and handed it over to the 16-year-old, who then shot the victim during an alleged heated argument.
“All three suspects appeared in the Thohoyandou Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 26 February. The father and his 15-year-old son are facing charges of possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition and the 16-year-old minor is facing a charge of attempted murder,” he explained.
The two minors have been released into their parents custody and will again appear in the same court on Tuesday, 6 March 2018.
“The 37-year-old suspect was denied bail and will appear in the same court on Thursday, 8 March,” Mojapelo concluded.
