No motor vehicle licence renewals could be processed at the Bendor Park Post Office in Cycad Centre for the past two weeks because there is no ink to print documents.
Members of the public have been turned away and advised by officials to join the queue at Polokwane Municipality or any other Post Office.
Polokwane Observer visited the Post Office last Wednesday after complaints were received and was advised by the Branch Manager, who refused to provide her name, that the ink for the printer was supplied by the Department of Transport and that she could not say when it would be available again. She however claimed that the Department is aware of the situation.

The doors at the Bendor Park Post Office are open but inside it is not business as usual.

Upon enquiry departmental Spokesperson Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala said the department had ordered ink from its suppliers but that it would only be available by the end of this week at the earliest.
Comment from Spokesperson for the South African Post Office, Johan Kruger was still being awaited at the time of going to press.
