Three names mentioned by several sources close to developments, include that of the Premier, Stanley Chupu Mathabatha, Danny Msiza, the Provincial Treasurer, and Deputy Provincial Secretary Makoma Makhurupetje.

LIMPOPO – ANC Deputy President David Mabuza called on all party structures to rally behind the newly elected leader, Cyril Ramaphosa.

Addressing a crowd of 6 000 supporters, Mabuza spoke during the party’s 106-year jamboree, held at the Ephraim Mohale Stadium over the weekend.

“Comrade Cyril Ramaphosa was entrusted by the National Executive Committee to unite the ANC and clean up corruption within the party. We have already seen renewed hope and trust in our people since the December conference,” he said.

Mabuza reiterated that resolutions taken in December included to not tolerate ill discipline in the party especially corruption, but to instead focus on bringing the party to its former glory.

Ramaphosa was not part of the delegation addressing the celebrations, as he was in Davos, Switzerland on official state business.
