Gr 8 Westenburg learners aim high for 2018 school year

Review took to Hoërskool Westenburg Secondary to speak to the newly enrolled Gr 8 learners, fresh from primary school, to find out how high school is treating them thus far.

POLOKWANE – The academic year just started and learners nationwide has started with the syllabus. Review took to Hoërskool Westenburg Secondary to speak to the newly enrolled Gr 8 learners, fresh from primary school, to find out how high school is treating them thus far.

Here is what some of the Gr 8’s had to say:

Ben Bezuidenhout said that so far things are easy and smooth for him, but he is however feeling nervous about the coming tests assessments in March. “I have already started studying towards my march tests as I want to have good marks when we close,” he said.

Shandre Kennedy said that she is finding it a little harder to adjust as she had no friends in primary school that came to the Hoërskool Westenburg Secondary, however she says is already making new friends. “School is fine, although the workload is a bit more hectic than back in primary but I am managing just fine thus far,” she said.

Henry Jansen shared similar compliments and added to say that he hopes to make some friends soon so that they can be able to share study tips and experiences on life.
