An undisclosed amount of cash was looted when a group of suspects allegedly bombed the drop-safe at the Total filling station in Thabo Mbeki Street, Ster Park early this morning (Monday).
Provincial Police Corporate Communications Head Motlafela Mojapelo indicated that a manhunt for the suspects has been launched. He said three armed suspects entered the store at about 02:45 and held up staff. They allegedly took R6 000 from the cash registers and bombed the drop-safe and fled with an unknown amount of cash.
They fled the scene in a white Mercedes-Benz with unknown registration number. Nobody was injured during the robbery and no arrests were made yet, according to Mojapelo.
