Safe bombed at Mankweng garage during armed robbery

The police are still on the look out for a group of men involved in the armed robbery at a garage along the R71 road in Mankweng on Thursday morning.

LIMPOPO – The incident occurred at around 02:00 at a Total garage in Nobody village in the Mankweng area.

“It is alleged that a group of unknown armed men, travelling in two vehicles, stormed inside the garage, held the employees at gunpoint and continued to bomb the safe,” said Constable Maphure Manamela.

According to further police investigations, the culprits managed to flee the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, she added.

Police appeal to anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact Colonel Angy Maloma on 0827229787. Alternatively that can contact the 24-hour crime stop number on 08600 10111, the crime sms line 32211 or the nearest police station, concluded Manamela.
