One dead, seven injured in R37 collision
The Lebowakgomo Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide which occurred at a T-junction along R37 road between Polokwane and Burgersfort on Friday evening at around 20:00.
POLOKWANE – “It is alleged that a Ford Cortina travelling from South to North collided with a Chrysler which was travelling East to West,” reported Captain Mamphaswa Seabi.
He added that one of the eight occupants from the Cortina was certified dead on the scene. Seven others sustained serious injuries and were taken to a hospital in Polokwane for treatment.
As police we appeal to all road users to respect traffic rules in order to avoid unnecessary deaths on the road.
