Marvellous Malose an asset for the SPCA

Colleagues of Malose Lebelo sing his praises, saying he is someone with a lot of potential, “surprising them every day’.

POLOKWANE – Malose is an employee at the SPCA Polokwane and will be going for field officer training soon as he recently obtained his driver’s licence.

When Malose heard these praises, he told Review with a shy smile that he cannot wait to start the field officer training.

“The training will start in February and I can hardly wait. My goal is to become an inspector,” an excited Malose told Review.

He has been a part of the SPCA family since 2011 where he worked as a senior kennel hand, supervising the kennels.

“Part of my job was to keep track of who entered the kennels and caring for the animals. I want to use the knowledge I’ve gained to educate people about animals and to stop animal cruelty as one of the problems we recently encountered was people abusing donkeys.”

During his training as field officer he will learn how to best educate people about animals as well as learn everything an inspector can do except testifying in court.

“I prefer cats over dogs but I love all animals. I cannot have my own pets at the moment, but as soon as my circumstances change, I will get pets,” he said with an excited smile.
