‘Hazardous’ road resurfaced by the municipality

This follows several complaints to the Mogalakwena Municipality that the intersection at Geyser Street and Thabo Mbeki Drive has become a road hazard

The tar surface is lifted for the preparation of the road resurfacing.

MOKOPANE – Kenny Matlabe, Technical Services, Road and Storm Water at the Mogalakwena Municipality, told Bosveld: “We will lift the tar, prepare the surface again and lay 80 mm pavers that are more durable for the heavy traffic the road carries”.

Matlabe added all potholes and roads are earmarked for maintenance and as money becomes available, they will receive attention.

“There is a project in the pipeline and some roads will be resurfaced and not just repaired.”
