Trucks, trailers worth over R10m burnt in Phalaborwa

The police are investigating a case of malicious damage to property following the burning of four trucks and three trailers at a Phalaborwa company on Friday evening.

LIMPOPO – Lt Col Robert Netshiunda reported: “An on duty security guard at the plant hiring business alleges that he saw fire coming from one of the trucks which were parked inside the yard. He notified the authorities however by the time the local fire brigade arrived four trucks and three trailers were already burnt.

The value of the damage is valued at around R10.4 million, he added.

No arrests have been made as yet and the police urge anyone with information to contact the nearest police station, Netshiunda concluded.
