LIMPOPO – “We can confirm that a 36-year-old male motorist caught driving at a speed of 206km/h along the N1-25 Ysterberg road at 17:40 yesterday afternoon has been arrested and is currently being detained at the Mokopane Police Station,” says Matome Moremi, Spokesman for the department of Transport.

During the arrest it was discovered he was driving under the influence of alcohol at a reading of 0.58g/100ml.

The man is set to appear before the Mokopane Magistrate’s Court today (Tuesday, 9 January 2018).
Matome adds that motorists are encouraged to stay within the speed limit and not to drink and drive saying that those that transgress will be arrested.
