Mokopane placed on ‘severe thunderstorm watch’

The South African Weather service has issued a thunderstorm warning for the South Western areas of Limpopo.

MOKOPANE – According to the South African Weather Service, severe thunderstorms are expected over SW Limpopo this afternoon.

The watch is effective from midday to 23:00 this evening.

The weather service has cautioned people to stay away from metal objects, not to play sport and to stay indoors, should there be a thunderstorm.

The rain will be relief for many following heat wave conditions experienced over the weekend.
