Heatwave conditions continue in Limpopo

The weather service says the heat wave will break on Tuesday (09 January 2018) with a drop in temperatures.

POLOKWANE – The South African Weather Service says the heat wave sweeping the country will continue with severe storms possible in places.

“The heat wave will break on Tuesday (09 January 2018) with a drop in temperatures and the return of thundershowers in the eastern and north-eastern provinces,” a statement read.

A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected in Limpopo, Free State, Gauteng, the extreme north-eastern parts of  the Northern Cape and Mpumalanga.

‘Uncomfortable’ conditions are expected in Limpopo today, according to the South African Weather Service.
