Mokopane police end off the year by giving thanks

The Mokopane Police commemorated their members for their hard work throughout the year at the year-end function last Thursday at Bhundu Lapa.

MOKOPANE – The proceedings kicked off with a look at the station’s progress over the past year. Sgt Wimpie Nel from the Mokopane SAPS, said the police station did well in the past year.

“There is a big improvement. Mokopane police station will be one of the top police stations again. The improvement is all thanks to you who sit here and the Station Commander, Col Isaac Mantjane.”

Lucas Lekutu, (Senior Personnel Officer), April Seabela, (Warrant Officer) and Joel Makhayi, (Warrant Officer) all from Mokopane SAPS.

The Secretary of the South African National Civic Organisation (Sanco), Tlou Sasa, addressed the guests and made it clear that Sanco is not a political organisation but there for the community.

“A worrying issue that increases daily is the gangsterism and drug problems in Mokopane and the surrounding area. There are even police members who look the other way when these offenses are committed. Some are even involved with these activities themselves. This has to be stopped if we are to be successful in this endeavour. I’m calling on everyone, police and the community, to work together. This will be the only way we will win this fight.”

Ben Senoakwane, (Chief of the Fire Department), AJ Rudah, (Department of Home Affairs) and Const Annetjie Bezuidenhout (Limpopo Crime Record Centre).

Kgomotso Lebelo, Apostille and senior pastor of Charissa Worship Ministries, delivered a powerful message, motivating each guest to have wisdom and to apply knowledge properly every day.

Limpopo Police Commissioner, Lt Genl Nneke Ledwaba’s message to the guests was that everyone has to work together to eradicate crime.

Nneke Ledwaba, (Lieutenant General and Limpopo Commissioner).

“Our organisation can only prosper if we all work together. Remember, unity is strength, if we work together things will fall into place.”

Col Isaac Mantjane, Station Commander of Mokopane Police, concluded the day.

Isaac Montjane, (Colonel and Station Commander of Mokopane SAPS).

He said 2017 was a marathon year and the Mokopane Police Station could not cross the line without all stakeholders.

“Thank you to all who had a part in putting Mokopane Police Station on the path off success. Today, we commemorate our partners in blue and fellow members of the police for their hard work throughout the year. Relax and enjoy the celebrations and a special thanks to Maxi’s for donating vouchers as prizes and Bhundu Lapa for their hospitality.”
