Tourism Agency wishes all a happy festive season

The festive period is once again upon us. This is the time when families come together after a long period of separation to celebrate the season.

LIMPOPO – It is also the moment during which all people across religious beliefs display a gesture of generosity by giving to loved ones and those in need. This is an important time when people should embrace one another across their religious beliefs.

While people across the globe will celebrate Christmas, through which they will be renewing their relationship with God, this coincides squarely with the Islamic Halal Slaughter and Eid Al-Adha (the Feast of the Sacrifice) celebrated by Muslims around the world.

As Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA), we continue to urge the people of our province to do tourism by taking a Sho’t Left to most of our tourism facilities during this important season on our tourism calendar. On behalf of the entire tourism industry, including the service and hospitality industry, I welcome everybody coming into our peaceful province for a pleasant festive season filled with joy.

Limpopo offers an opportunity for people to see Africa’s Big Five, while the adventurous can go abseiling, bungee jumping, rock climbing, caving, horse riding or kloofing. For those who enjoy more relaxed and conventional sports, Limpopo offers some magnificent golf courses. I further urge people to take this time to use our various products in the province to relax with their loved ones. We guarantee you the enjoyable and breathtaking tranquility of nature’s fauna and flora.

Our province’s rich cultural and historical heritage has earned it the reputation of being a land of great mystery. Not only is it the home of the legendary Modjadji, The Rain Queen, but also to the remains of the lost kingdom of Mapungubwe.

The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture will be hosting the annual Mapungubwe Arts Festival which will culminate in the jazz outdoor concert on 9 December. The people in Limpopo are known to be warm, welcoming and peaceful, and they are spreading their arms to welcome everybody into the province.

LTA wishes all motorists safe arrival to their respective destinations throughout the country. Finally the LTA supports the country’s campaign on 16 Days of Activism Against Women and Children Abuse that was launched on 25 November.

Let us enjoy the season together in Limpopo.

LTA CEO, Nomasonto Ndlovu.
