Limpopo festive season operations: five suspects arrested for crimes ranging from murder to business robbery

The susepcts were arersted during separate incidents which occurred in the Tzaneen, Louis Trichardt and Burgersfort areas

LIMPOPO – The festive season operations continue to yield positive results with the recent arrests of five suspects for crimes ranging from possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, burglary business to murder.

These intelligence led operations, composed of various Police Units, are aimed at cracking various categories of serious crime syndicates.

Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe lists the arrests: 

In the Tzaneen Cluster, a 20-year-old man was nabbed for a series of burglary businesses.  It is alleged he was terrorising residents in the Tzaneen and Modjadjiskloof Policing areas and during the arrest, a number of items including a cricket jersey were recovered.

This suspect has also been linked to a theft at SAPS garage in Tzaneen where the Saps vehicle parts were stolen.

In the Makhado cluster, three suspects (aged between 23 and 27 ) were arrested for burglary businesses in the Waterval Policing area.  During the arrest 2 cellphones, 3 laptops and 1 iPad were recovered.

Meanwhile in the Burgersfort Cluster, a 27-year-old suspect was arrested for murder and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition. During the arrest two 9mm firearms, 13 rounds of ammunition, dagga and seven cellphones were recovered.

The suspects will appear before the Tzaneen, Modjadjiskloof, Waterval and Burgersfort Magistrates Courts soon.
