Murder investigation underway after body found along R81
The body of a middle-aged man was found about 100 m from the R81 road outside Polokwane
POLOKWANE – The Sekgosese Police need the assistance of the community to identify the body of man, aged between 42 and 50, who was found along the R81 road Munnik outside Polokwane.
According to Police Const Mamabolo Monatse, the police received information from residents in the area about a human body which was seen lying about 100 meters from the road.
Upon arrival at the crime scene they found a male’s body in early stages of decomposition and EMS personnel, photographer,forensic and K9 unit were summoned to the scene. The body had visible stab wounds on the head and below the left ear, he explained.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased might been killed somewhere and his body dumped at the area.”
