MOKOPANE – Mokopane Superspar Manager Ian van der Merwe, is very impressed with the new look of this local franchise and said that it is done for a good reason, even though the costs of upgrading was high.
“I have been part of Spar for six years and we felt that it was in need of change. As far as we go our motivation is to satisfy our customers and make this store everyone’s favourite. We wanted to blow a little more energy into the store and our main focus was to improve the service departments.
“We now have an even friendlier and buyers friendly store.”
The service departments that have been upgraded includes the bakery, butchery, deli and fruit and vegetables area.

Van der Merwe also said that Spar now has more products to choose from when buying because the variety has been improved. Leon Botha is the new butchery manager and he brought a bigger variety of fresh meat you can choose from so make sure you pay a visit there as well.
A new management team was elected that will ensure complete satisfaction to customers. “We are becoming a destination where families and friends buy their monthly groceries from. We even offer milktart late at night when all the other stores are closed.” Spar ensures every client that their vehicles will be safely looked after since security has also been improved.

The hardworking management team and some of Spar’s staff members thank their clients for their loyal support. Here are Esther Kekana, Grace Lebelo, George Mathe, Priscilla Lekgodi, Jack Mothapo, Isaac Munyai, Ian van der Merwe (Manager), Caroline Molope, Leon Botha and Nalita Gouveia.

Van der Merwe explains that they have been through a tough time with the renovations but thanks all their customers for still supporting them.
“Because of the renovations it became easier for us to place a bigger variety of products for our clients, which was the main idea. We want clients to be able to buy everything they need at one place.”
