New at Bet-Shalom in 2018

Bet-Shalom Christian School will be introducing new sport and cultural codes.

POLOKWANE – This was decided due to the immense interest in mini-golf, chess and various other cultural and sporting codes. The implementing of these will enable these learners to compete on a provincial or national level.

According to Bet-Shalom Christian School Principal, Rachelle Els, they are all excited to introduce this new development to the learners in 2018. “Our school has values and morals, every child counts here at Bet-Shalom. We go out of our way to make sure that every learner succeeds and excels in activities, sports and academics. We now have a Gr 4 class and next year we will get Gr 5 class. We always increase a Gr each year until we get to Gr 7,” she explained.

The school currently offers sport, cultural and culinary activities such as swimming, soccer, Wing Chung Kung Fu, netball, air-gun, archery, piano and ballet. “We are also introducing school drummies, chess and mini-golf next year. We are also getting a new teacher who will also be the sport coordinator as well,” she added.

In addition to the inclusion of various activities, learners will no longer be required to do their homework as this will be scheduled in during class time. This system will be implemented as of early next year. “The teachers will assist the learners with homework in class so that their parents can also spend time with them when they get home from a long day. We increased an hour to our normal school hours, to accommodate every child,” she explained.

According to Bet-Shalom Christian School Owner Liezelle Calitz, admissions are now open and the school would like to extend their invitation to parents to enroll their children.
